5 Digital Marketing Lessons We Learnt From Game Of Agencies

If you’ve come across Game Of Agencies, you know what we’re talking about. If you haven’t, please check it out here.

1. Be Spontaneous, not every great deed was planned in detail.

When you are passionate about something, it shows in your work. There is no replacement for spontaneity, sometimes all you need is to be on top of your brand and ideas will just flow.

2. Don’t restrict yourself, be mad.

In the world where information has no filter and everyone can talk about everything, it is imperative for you to be close to your passions. The ideas that come out after taking a walk in the park with your favorite people could be better than what you come up with when you are stuck to your screen. Don’t hold back on craziness, it is the reason we are where we are. Crazy is what the world calls those who have figured out life and walked on a path of their own.

3. If you’re having fun in making it, it is fun.

Nobody wants to spend time in a lecture; if given a chance, they would choose a café over a lecture room. The way brands have evolved on digital, it is important for you to be on top of your game at all points. Fun is when you are having fun while doing what you love the most. It is human to figure out the fun thing in life, look at the world around you, everything that is based on fun is fun and automatically attracts maximum traction. Companies like Sony Play station are created only on fun and they take their fun seriously.

4. Timing is everything.

If the article was not released right when the buzz was about #GameOfThrones would it have done so well? If you actually go to the depth of it, if the timing wasn’t perfect, the article would have just been a blog on our website and have a couple of hundred likes, thanks to the media spends. The reason all the publications picked it up was because they all need trending content and we just gave it to them. Remember, they need good content as much as we need them, it’s a win-win situation.

5. Content paired with great design is always king.

The fact that we took an idea from the inception and converted into a full fledged series with the right content and mix of great designs is what has made the campaign successful. The right step in the right direction is when you understand what should the tone of voice be and if the design is relevant to the communication and all will go as per plan.
